With cloud storage giants like Dropbox, Box, SkyDrive, Google Drive and Amazon S3, it is quite difficult for any cloud storage service to gain ground. Yet, there are some which provide a service so useful that users end up using them. Cloudup is one such service which offers file sharing with 200 GB of free cloud storage space. Cloudup can be accessed from not only the web interface but like most cloud based services it has apps for various operating systems.
Getting Started With Cloudup
You can get started by going to the Cloudup website and request an invitation. After you have received your invitation and signed up for an account, you can begin uploading your files via the web interface or by using an app.
Conveniently Upload Files And Folders
Cloudup provides drag and drop functionality to help you upload and share your PowerPoint files and other Office documents, videos, music and photos via drag and drop. Uploading files via drag and drop is supported by batch uploading functionality, which means that you can upload multiple files simultaneously. Furthermore, you can also upload entire folders with different files.
Another fine element of Cloudup is that the upload time is fairly quick and one does not have to go through the hassle of maintaining a folder with essential files like Dropbox or SugarSync.ย Your uploaded files are readily available from the Dashboard in the form of streams. You can also see streams shared by your friends.
200 GB Of Free Cloud Storage Space
Cloudup offers each user cloud storage space to save 1000 files up to 200 MB each. While this is the offer for free accounts, users will be provided with Premium accounts soon, with even more storage space.
CloudUp currently has apps for Windows (including Windows 8) and Mac OS X. There is also an iOS and Android app in the pipeline but until that is released, you can add Cloudup to your device’s home screen. To find out more, visit Cloudup and request and invitation.
