A leader is an individual who has the ability to get others to do what they don’t want to do and persuade them to yield productive results. In today’s competitive business environment, the thrust of any enterprise is leadership and so if any organization to be successful, a leader can take the company altogether to a different level with his ethics, beliefs and values.

Diverse Leadership Styles

Democratic

To handle stressful situations effectively, democratic leader has the power to quickly form responsibility and flexibility. Not just this, this type of leader equally gives a chance to his team member to participate in nearly every decision; he takes for the benefit of this team and enables to achieve desired results within a stipulated time.

Situational

A situational leader is the person who takes the best possible decision in current scenario and understands the current work related concerns properly. In this form of leadership style, the work of leader is to recognize the inability of employee and assign it to someone else.

Laissez- faire

These types of leaders allow its team mates to make decisions in a desired way and truly believe in providing complete liberty to take actions concerning the quality of work.  This approach can be quite effective if the leader communicates his team regularly about what guidelines they need to follow in their work. Undoubtedly, they are the skilled and experienced individuals who lays more emphasis on achieving organization’s goals.

Autocratic

This style of leadership can be quite advantageous at certain situations and may prove to be valuable for the autocratic leader who take the control in his hands and make supervisors follow his directions willingly or unwillingly. Thus, without questioning him everyone has to follow his instructions. All this can happen in stressful or urgent situations.
